Natural Mineral Purification

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  • Check and adjust your water chemistry.  Proper pH is critical to effective purification
  • Maintain chlorine at .4 ppm or bromine at .8 ppm
  • Test Copper level and adjust as necessary

OXIDATION

The Pioneer Natural Mineral Purification System will flocculate dead organisms into larger masses, the majority of which will be removed by an efficient filtration system. However, organic matter such as suntan lotions, body oils, perspiration and hair care products will not be trapped by your filter.  Although they pose no health hazard, left unattended, they will cause your pool to become cloudy or dull in appearance.  Regular and sufficient oxidation is necessary to keep your pool water sparkling clear.

Proper oxidation can be accomplished in several ways, all of which are effective:

*For additional information on oxidation refer to you Natural Mineral Purification System Manual or download a copy provided here*

Pioneer H2O Technologies recommends oxidizing once a week regardless, and always after a heavy, sustained rain.  *Oxidizing is an essential element for the effective operation of you Natural Mineral Purification System.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

ELECTRODES

The Electrodes are uniquely designed so they will not restrict the flow of water in your plumbing.  The life of your Electrode will vary depending on the size of your pool and the number of hours the filtration system runs each day.

P-15 model – Remove Electrodes periodically for inspection and cleaning.

P-50 model – When the Electrodes need to be cleaned or the Total Dissolved Solids levels gets too high, one decimal point will flash or blink at the top left side of the LED display.

Electrodes should be inspected through the clear plastic Tee periodically to ensure there is nothing obstructing flow or caught between them.  Electrodes should be checked a minimum of once per year whether the decimal points flash or not.

If the cleaning of Electrodes becomes necessary, turn off the power to the system, disconnect fitting and remove the Electrode.  To clean – use a 50:50 solution of vinegar or lemon juice and water.  Rinse with a garden hose.

*A complete Maintenance Schedule and Water Chemistry Tracking Chart can be found
in the back of your manual*

You can obtain new Electrodes through your local dealer
